In the recent national professional examinations administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on various fields of profession, Negrenses have landed in the top spots and scored fairly excellent among takers.
In the June 11 Nurse Licensure Examinations, Silliman University’s Jessica Franchizca Estrellado and Saint Paul University’s Feliz Gwenmor Fuentes both garnered 84 percent passing mark and ranked ninth in the exam topped by a graduate of University of Santo Tomas Manila, the Visayan Daily Star reported. A total of 27,823 out of 60,895 examinees passed the Nursing exam which is given twice a year by the Board of Nursing.

Meanwhile, Lovely April Dy of Silliman University landed in the Top 10 in the August 2012 Physical Therapist Licensure Exam with a rating of 83.20%. SU also heightened its feat in the Physician Licensure Exam after the university’s 100% passing mark for three consecutive years now.
